02 / DETAILA closer look at the gameplay
Godling: answer a planet’s prayers
The Godling is the player’s divine role; Doods are the planet’s inhabitants. The whitepaper describes answering their prayers with elemental miracles, helping or punishing them. Its planet-side design focuses on intervening in inhabitants’ lives rather than simply arranging buildings.
Combat uses a summoned Avatar in the Dirac Dimension’s PvE dungeons. The real-time card system calls for a different kind of decision from answering prayers on a planet. The document describes procedurally generated dungeons that vary between attempts.
The whitepaper also describes taking an Avatar and rescued Dood Apostle souls into a future Godling Arena PvP mode. That passage is future-facing. Planet intervention, PvE dungeons and planned PvP should be read as distinct activities, rather than one currently accessible mode.
Historical Epic-demo instructions, the ended2024 home event, and current Steam or mobile links are different evidence. Costs, authentication, granted resources, and Japanese eligibility still require edition-specific confirmation.
