02 / DETAILA closer look at the gameplay

Shape a detour without closing the route

Towers shape the route in this tower defence. The docs say ground enemies choose the shortest open path and reject placements that close the last route; flying enemies bypass the maze. Read the detour together with each tower’s coverage rather than assuming a longer path solves every threat. Route efficiency and actual defence results have not been tested.

Combine blockers with control and damage

Boulder blocks a cell without attacking; Water Cannon slows, while Blower pushes enemies back and reveals hidden enemies. A non-damaging tower can therefore support the route through damaging towers. The docs distinguish construction delay during a wave, selling blocking towers between waves, and selling non-blocking traps during a wave. Listed damage and timings are not tested recommendations for an optimal current build.

Separate preparation from upgrades inside a run

Blueprint unlocks and tiers use resources, account progression and workshop time to expand a tower’s in-run upgrade limits. During a defence, Rivets buy and upgrade towers, and unused Rivets expire at its end. Campaign supplies mission towers, whereas the Free Ladder and other ladder modes use the active loadout. Blueprint tiers, talents and applicable mods can still affect Campaign towers, so a supplied roster does not mean identical progression for everyone.

Free modes and ticketed competition are separate

The FAQ describes Campaign and the Free Ladder as ticket-free, with Power refilling for free and never sold. Ranked and Endless have separate ticket rules. Resource spending on towers, blueprints, talents or mods is also distinct from a run’s Rivets. Token prices are described as weekly settings; fiat prices, necessary purchase quantities, current season admission and personal eligibility are unverified. A displayed pool proves neither eligibility nor a received return.

Shared resources do not make it the same game

The site identifies this as an authorised non-commercial fan game, separate from affiliation with the Craft World team. Its FAQ does not require playing Craft World itself, but says moving resources out follows Craft World’s requirements and direct transfers between games are unavailable. Ronin wallet deposit, withdrawal and fee instructions are not evidence that every ordinary mode requires a purchase. No deposit, ticket purchase, withdrawal or reward claim was performed.

Read the browser entry without assuming completion

The public Play page asks users to connect a wallet and join the season for scored runs. Keep that pre-authentication prompt separate from documentation about free modes. The mobile FAQ describes touch controls in a phone browser, preferably landscape; physical-device behaviour, authentication order, current ordinary access, Japanese support and personal Japan eligibility remain unverified. No connection, season joining or play was attempted. The fan-game notice is not an editorial image-reuse licence.

The play loop

  1. Shape an open route and tower coverage.
  2. Combine slowing, detection and damage roles.
  3. Review mode, progression and resource constraints before preparing again.
