The current Epic description presents Shatterline as a single-player shooter against the Crystalline threat. Compare operative roles such as Sniper, armored Juggernaut and Medic support. Retained home descriptions of PvP and co-op belong to a different period and mode.

Which decisions shape the gameplay

Choosing ranged precision, armored combat or support changes the appeal of the same shooter. These are documented role comparisons, not an optimal team, mandatory unlock order or measured performance. The May 26, 2025 announcement planned multiplayer closure for June 26; it does not observe the actual shutdown instant.
