02 / DETAILA closer look at the gameplay
Draft first, then review the battle replay
Stellarch is a sci-fi card battler built around choosing a commander and fighters before reviewing the resulting battle. The Docs describe one commander and one to six fighters. The main decision is whom to draft and how to order the team, rather than rapid input during combat. The publisher describes reproducible seeded replays; this is not our measurement of win rates or fairness.
A draft must fit the combined mana cap. The commander provides team effects and affinity constraints rather than attacking directly. Documented examples include Psionic Blackout banning magic, Grounded Guns removing ranged attacks, and Knife Fight allowing melee only. Check the permitted attack types and affinities before choosing apparently powerful cards; the rules determine which options are relevant.
The Docs describe slot one as the frontline that receives attacks first. A durable front unit can be combined with magic, healing or a backline-targeting role behind it. Adding more support is not automatically stronger: compare each role with the mana budget and restrictions. This explains the documented draft examples rather than recommending an optimal deck or guaranteeing victory.
The publisher separates a free entry route from optional packs and market purchases. Access to a shared drafting pool does not mean receiving ownership of its cards. Getting Started describes the alpha catalog at maximum levels, while the home page describes level-one Common and Rare cards. These scopes conflict, so this article does not assert the exact pool currently available to every account. Advertised pack estimates are not confirmed Japan checkout prices.
Keep alpha entry separate from asset-feature plans
The official home and press kit advertise an open alpha and link Play Now to the entry route. Accounts documents email and other login methods, but no registration, authentication or play was performed in this review. Accounts keeps MVP assets in-game and places withdrawals and on-chain transfers later, while home and press copy emphasize tradeable ownership. Successful transfers, trading or cash-out are therefore not established here. Personal Japan eligibility and installed-device behavior remain unverified.
