The October 19 update explains Energy and Exhaustion indicators and preserves existing buy orders. It is Frontier-specific; current admission and client behavior are unverified.

First, which game mode changed?
Fortune’s Frontier is RavenQuest’s seasonal PvPvE mode. Its official introduction describes expeditions through the Pirate Isles: gather treasure and equipment while navigating enemies and other players, then decide whether to push farther or leave with what you have found. These October 19, 2026 changes concern Frontier Season 0; they do not establish that every rule in the main game changed.
Reading energy and exhaustion on an expedition
The HUD now shows the current energy recovery or depletion rate based on location. The team’s stated aim is to make the speed of change and rising exhaustion easier to understand without watching the energy bar continuously. The same remaining amount can call for a different decision when it is recovering versus draining while exhaustion builds.
Four colors, four states
Green indicates recovery; yellow indicates energy drain without exhaustion; orange means exhaustion is building and its effects are intensifying; red means maximum exhaustion. For example, orange gives a player another signal to consider when deciding whether to continue or turn back. The announcement gives no numerical thresholds for the colors or a universally optimal time to leave.
The solo bonus changes from 20% to 35%
Lone Wolf’s bonuses to damage dealt and damage reduction each increased from 20% to 35%. This describes that effect; it does not mean every attack or item received a flat 15-point upgrade. The team presents the change as improving solo viability while retaining an edge for duos.
A specific equipment matchup
The Contender Trinket’s secondary passive damage mitigation against players wearing Reaver Trinkets rose from 6% to 12%. It is that conditional mitigation rate which doubled; the notice does not say all damage from every opponent is halved. Consider the opponent’s equipment and the scope of the passive when comparing the change.
Why the city waypoint moved
The Gilead City waypoint moved one floor higher. The stated reason was to prevent an unintended pattern of attacking creatures and retreating rapidly into a Protection Zone. The same notice fixed stairs and pathways on Gilead that had incorrectly become impassable. The practical question is how the route to a safe area relates to the encounter, not just how the map looks.
Separate new buy orders from existing ones
Creating new Marketplace buy orders became unavailable to prevent bypassing existing player-to-player trade restrictions. Existing buy offers remained active under the announcement. This should not be read as closure of the entire marketplace or cancellation of every existing offer.
A next-season idea is not a shipped feature
The team said it was exploring solo and duo shard prioritization for Season 1. That is an October 19 proposal, not a statement that the feature shipped in this patch. The notice also describes a fix for daily leaderboard adornments based on current rank.
What this report cannot establish
This is an editorial explanation of the official patch notes; we have not registered or played. The announcement alone cannot establish that the same values or trading rules still apply now, or availability in every region. Check current official and in-game information before starting.
